The Robot is not wrong to suggest it’s a bit of a panopticon. But a good one. Right? Right?!?!?

Yet Another NotebookLM Education Post

I haven’t found the bottom of the utility pool yet, and I’m not sure if I ever will.

The form basically demands a screencast at this point. Here you go:

I’m back with my third post in almost as many weeks on using NotebookLM in my teaching life. This one is a bit more student-oriented compared to my previous pieces, focusing specifically on how these tools can be used to support individual student learning and provide personalized feedback. The process is straightforward:

  1. Record audio from an educational setting (in this case, an AP Biology extra help session recorded using my cellphone).
  2. Upload the audio into a Notebook file.
  3. Start querying.

My goal was to create a diagnostic report of the session that I could share with the student. The student, who was gracious enough to consent to being recorded, received an initial version of the report. They then provided suggestions on what else to include, which I incorporated.
